Seattle Trip

Posted: June 30th, 2014 by webmaster |

Vi and I recently rode to Seattle to visit my daughter and grand kids and to celebrate mine and my daughter, Angela’s birthdays. While we were there we visited the Church where my son, Colt, is buried in the gardens and to see the Crucifix I carved for the church when I was 26 years old.  Can’t believe that was 46 years ago and 30 years ago when we lost… Continue reading

Ride up the Columbia

Hood, OR.  After a Club breakfast near the Portland Airport, we headed across the Columbia River into Washington and rode down Hwy 14  along the River.  The day was warm and beautiful with not a cloud in the sky.  Crossing back into Oregon at Hood River, our group of about 26 members… Continue reading

Via and I rolled into Newberg Sunday afternoon, June 1st about 3:30pm. Very tired but in one piece and still speaking to each other. When I traded my 2011 RT in at SpyderFest, I forgot to note how far we had traveled. My guess is that the total trip was right about 9,000 miles, 47 days , at least 20 States (some multiple times) and who knows… Continue reading

Day 45: Closer to Home!

Posted: May 30th, 2014 by webmaster |

Home gets closer and closer. Tonight we are in Winnemucca, NV. (wherever that is!). Yesterday was a long run across Wyoming. It was a day of fighting strong High Desert winds. Used up lots of gas and energy just trying to keep the speed up. The weather Gods continued to smile down on us with warm sunny weather, but we were both very tired when we pulled into Salt Lake… Continue reading
